MARKET HALL TENANT OPENS FIRST UNIT IN
NEW MARKET HALL SCHEME
Agora Shopping Centres is delighted to welcome a former Market Hall trader as the first tenant in the new Market Hall scheme.
Coffea Zu has been opened by Jonathan and Sharon Cartwright, who formerly ran Café Boulevard in the Market Hall. “We were very keen to go forward with the new development after 25 years of trading in the Market Hall.” says Mr Cartwright. “My new lease gives me certainty and means I can take my business forward with the new development. We are delighted with this new unit, which gives us 1,400 sq ft of space, with additional seating on the patio on Knowlsley Street and in the mall.
“This new unit was designed by us to appeal to everyone (Zu or “you”) with liquid floor features and a Zebra theme. The shop was made in Italy and brought here on a truck. We imported “style” to complement the “new Bolton
“We offer freshly roasted coffee, ice creams and snacks and have a full licence so can sell liqueur coffees, and a continental beer – we are currently selling Budvar from the Czech Republic. At Christmas we plan to offer Gluhwein, the continental cure for a chilly day!”
The scheme, which received planning consent in March, will restore the Grade II Listed Market Hall and will provide 100,000 sq ft of new retail space for Bolton.
